We began incorporating hybrid gas-electric vehicles in our fleet as early as 2003, exchanging a number of our light trucks for hybrid cars as well. This resulted not only in better gas mileage, and the ability to use time saving hybrid commuter lanes in the Bay Area, but most importantly allowed us to trim our carbon footprint. A commitment to clean air makes sense, for economic reasons, but also because we have a responsibility to the environment in which we work and live.
